Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM)

Residents of Yelm who commute to Joint Base Lewis-McChord use the East Gate or the Main Gate to enter JBLM. The East Gate is located on the back side of JBLM, and the Main Gate is at exit 120 of I5.

Parks and Recreation
The Yelm City Park was donated by Chuck and Wilma Demich, in 1950. Located at the corner of SR 507 and Mossman Avenue, the park is approximately one city block in size. It has a kitchen, covered facilities, a playground area, skateboard park, picnic tables, public restrooms, and a softball backstop. A number of community events are held at the Yelm City Park each year, including Prairie Days, Christmas in the Park, Family Fun Day, an annual car show, the Yelm Lions Easter Egg Hunt, and more.
